Who are we

An initiative of the Regional Center for the Promotion of MSMEs (CENPROMYPE) and the Central America Tourism Agency (CATA), supported by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and coordinated by Connecta B2B.

CENPROMYPE, as the specialized institution of SICA for MSME development, works to strengthen their competitiveness and improve the quality of life of their members through the implementation of the Regional MSME Policy, approved by COMIECO in 2022.

Within this framework, and as part of the New Project Cycle of the XVIII Joint Commission between the countries of the Central American Isthmus and the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Intersectoral Support Program for MSME Development and Sustainable Tourism is being executed, in coordination with SITCA and CATA.

This program seeks to boost the sustainable development of MSMEs in the tourism sector, support their recovery, and contribute to positioning the region as a multi-destination. The project, executed by CENPROMYPE alongside SITCA and CATA and titled "Intersectoral Support Program for MSME Development and Sustainable Tourism," aims to:

• Enhance the comprehensive development of MSMEs under a sustainability framework through the implementation of the Regional MSME Policy.

• Contribute to building an intersectoral agenda that promotes the comprehensive development of MSMEs within the tourism sector.

• Support the recovery of the tourism sector by strengthening the capabilities of its MSMEs.

• Contribute to positioning the multi-destination tourism brand through communication, promotion, marketing, and MSME strengthening actions.

This program is part of the New Project Cycle of the XVIII Joint Cooperation Commission between the Countries of the Central American Isthmus and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
